​ My wife of 53 years passed April 2022. I think I've adjusted to being a solo life pretty well. Really had a 53 year honeymoon. No regrets, no unfinished business. But the reality of mortality weighs heavier. 
Worked nearly 40 years as a school counselor, later as a director and sort of a deputy principal. Retired now since 2004. When I think of the changes from '63 to today my mind can't take it all in.
